1 cup flax seed powder
1/2 cup nuts of your choice (I used almonds, cashew-nuts, pistachio
1 tsp cardamom powder
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
Flaxseed is a source of antioxidants, and fiber. It can also help lower the risk of diabetes, cancer and heart disease.These days flax-seeds are becoming very famous and common. Every other person have started consuming these healthy seeds in one or the other form.
In fact, many famous sweet shops have started selling it for Rs.1000/- per kg. which indeed a very expensive fair.
It's so simple and turns out to be economical if made at home. This takes just 10 minutes to prepare it.
I bought flax powder from market, the pic is shown below for your reference. If you find difficult to have powder of it you can simply dry roast and then powder it.
METHOD
Take square dish or plate and grease with ghee or oil. Or you can place cling foil. Keep aside.
Crush nuts roughly. If you don't want crunchy nuts to come in mouth, powder it fine.
Dry roast flax-seed powder in heavy bottomed pan for 3-4 minutes.
By that time make sugar syrup adding water and sugar and bring it boil till sugar melts completely. Turn off the flame and keep aside.
Add nuts and roast for another 1-2 minutes. Now goes cardamom powder.
Add sugar syrup and mix well. Stir till it becomes little thick.
Transfer it in greased plate.
Let it set for 3-4 hours. Cut into cubes and serve!
