DOUBLE-CHOCOLATE BURFI

INGREDIENTS
For white chocolate layer: 
1 1/2 cup milk powder
1 cup cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup white chocolate (optional)


For dark chocolate layer:
1 1/2 cup milk powder
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup milk
2 tbsp cocoa powder 

Nuts for garnishing



 







IF YOU DON'T WANT TO ADD WHITE CHOCOLATE SIMPLY OMIT IT AND PREPARE WITH OTHER MENTIONED INGREDIENTS. 

METHOD
FOR WHITE CHOCOLATE LAYER:

Mix together milk powder and sugar. Add milk . Stir it to get smooth and lump free consistency. Add chopped white chocolate. Keep stirring continuously on low flame till it reaches thick consistency. Keep scraping the edges in order to avoid burning of chocolate.

Grease the plate with oil or ghee, spread it evenly and thickly all over. Let it come down to room temperature. Keep in fridge.

Till that time let's prepare chocolate layer.

FOR CHOCOLATE LAYER:
Mix together milk powder and sugar. Add milk . Stir it to get smooth and lump free consistency. Add cocoa powder. Keep stirring continuously on low flame till it reaches thick consistency. Keep scraping the edges in order to avoid burning of chocolate.

Let it cook till it reaches the level of thick and combined dough like similar to white chocolate layer.

Take out the white chocolate layer from fridge and spread it on the top.

Garnish with chopped nuts of your choice and keep in fridge to set.

Let it set for at least 8-9 hours or overnight.

Cut in desired shape and serve or pack in beautiful boxes and gift this diwali.

1.Add milk powder in heavy bottomed pan or kadai.










2. Add powdered sugar.










3. Add milk and stir it to avoid any formation of lumps.










4. Add chopped white chocolate and cook till it melts.










5. Stir it continuously and keep scraping the edges.











6. Cook on low flame till it reaches thick and combined consistency.










7. Grease the plate with ghee or butter.










8. Pour the batter in greased plate and give it round of square shape. keep in fridge and let's prepare dark chocolate layer by that time.










9. Now mix all the ingredients of dark chocolate and cook till chocolate melts completely.










10. Keep stirring on low flame till it becomes thick and combined.










11. Take out white chocolate layer from fridge and spread dark chocolate layer over it slowly ensuring that it doesn't cover the white layer.










12. Sprinkle with some chopped nuts. Keep in fridge for 4-5 hours or overnight.










13. Cut in desired shape and keep in air-tight container. This burfi takes 8-9 hours to set or it will be chewy.



















14. Serve these new innovative chocolate layer burfi to guests.
