INGREDIENTS
1 cup urad dal
1/2 cup chana dal
1/2 tsp cumin powder
salt to taste
METHOD
Soak both dals for 4-5 hours or overnight. Drain the water completely.
Grind dal in grinder without using water. It will take some effort and time so keep grinding, if u find it very difficult then add 1 tsp of water.
When it is grinded in smooth paste, either transfer in beater and beat well for at least 5 minutes or if u don't have beater, just keep grinding for good 4-5 minutes.
Add salt and cumin powder in it. Mix well. Wet your fingers and palm and take some portion from batter and make hole in center using thumb or spoon.
Turn your hand upside down, batter will slide down due to wet hands, be careful and keep your hand at little high position to avoid burning.
Heat oil in pan and deep fry.
