EGGLESS CHOCOLATE CAKE WITH GEMS TOPPING


INGREDIENTS
2 cup whole wheat flour or All-purpose flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
3/4 cup butter or oil
1 cup milk
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence


WHOLE WHEAT FLOUR ABSORBS MORE LIQUID (MILK) AS COMPARED TO ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR. THE ABOVE MEASUREMENT IS FOR WHOLE WHEAT FLOUR.






METHOD 
Sieve together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and baking powder.

In other bowl, beat together butter, sugar, vanilla essence and sugar till sugar dissolves.




Now mix sugar-butter mixture in flour. Add milk and mix well.

Grease the baking tray with butter or oil. Transfer the mixture in it and bake for 25-30 minutes in pre-heated oven at 180°C.

For Icing:
Ingredients:
2  cups icing sugar
1/2 cup butter
2 tbsp cocoa powder
2-3 tbsp milk for consistency

Beat icing sugar, butter well. Add cocoa powder and milk, spread on cake. Decorate with gems.
