INSTANT MEDU VADA / SUJI MEDU VADA / RAWA MEDU VADA / SUJI VADA / RAWA VADA

INGREDIENTS
1 cup suji / semolina / Rawa
3/4 cup curd/ yogurt
Pinch of baking soda
Some freshly chopped coriander leaves
Few curry leaves
Salt to taste ( I added 1/2 tsp )
2-3 tbsp of water
Oil for deep frying

METHOD
Mix all the ingredients except for water and baking soda, and keep it aside for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes add water, 1 tbsp at a time. If required add more. Add baking soda.


Make sure the batter is not thin or it will be difficult to handle it. The consistency of the batter should be easy to make vadas. 

Heat oil, wet your hands with water, take batter in your hand and dig a hole with your finger. Slide in hot oil and deep fry. Serve hot.

Notes:
1. Before frying vada, drop in little batter and check, if batter is easy to handle and vadas are soft go ahead.

2. If batter becomes too thick, vadas will be very hard.

3. If batter will be thin it won't hold vada shape.

4. In case, you have added more water, add 2-3 tbsp of suji and keep the batter aside again.

5. Oil should not be too hot or vadas will burn. It should be medium hot.

4. Wet your palm.










5. Take it in your hand.










6. Dig in a hole.










7. It's ready to go in hot oil.

8. Deep fry.














9. Serve hot with sambhar or peanut chutney.
