INGREDIENTS
1 cup sesame seeds (Til)
1/2 cup jaggery (Gur) or 3/4 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup roughly crushed or chopped almonds and cashews (optional)
1/4 cup raisins
1/2 tsp cardamom powder (optional)
1/4 cup ghee (clarified butter)
METHOD
In a pan, dry roast sesame seeds, don't over roast or it will turn bitter in taste.
Let it come down to room temperature. Grind it roughly. If you want you can grind it to fine powder. But here I grinded coarsely.
Add crushed almonds, cashew and raisins.
Grate jaggery and add.
Mix all the ingredients well and warm the mixture on low flame for just 2-3 minutes or till jaggery becomes soft.
Grease your palm with ghee and make ladoos of desire size.
Store these ladoos in air-tight jar for 1-2 months.
Notes:
1.Make sure you don't over roast til or it will become bitter in taste.
2. If you don't like taste of gur you can add powered sugar.
