CRUNCHY SOYA STICKS

SERVES: 10-12 Pieces
INGREDIENTS
1 cup Nutrela
2 medium sized boiled potatoes
1/2 cup boiled peas
1 chopped onion
2 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp chaat masala
2 tbsp tomato sauce
juice of 1 lemon
1 cup bread crumb
1/2 cup semolina (suji)
2 tbsp cornflour
salt and chili to taste
ice- cream sticks
oil for deep frying


METHOD
Soak Nutrela in hot boiling water and keep aside for 5-10 minutes. Squeeze out the excess water. Keep aside.

In pan, heat some oil, add chopped onion, saute till golden in colour add salt, coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, chaat masala, tomato sauce and give it a good mix.

Add Nutrela and peas, sprinkle all over lemon juice. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.

Let it come down to room temperature. Mix mashed potato in it. Mash the mixture together to give good binding. Taste mixture, if required add more salt.

Divide mixture in 12 equal portion. Make medium sized balls, press it flat between your palm and give oval shape.

In  a plate, mix together suji and breadcrumbs.

Make thin batter of cornflour by adding water in it. Dip in batter. Coat well in breadcrumb-suji mix.

Deep fry. Let it come down to room temperature, insert stick and serve!

YOU CAN SERVE THESE WITH BREAD.

4. Tomato sauce.










5. Add boiled peas and nutrela.










6. Add lemon juice.










7. Add boiled and mashed potato.












8. Mash it. Check salt at this stage.











9. Make oval shape cutlets. Dip in thin cornflour batter.










10. Coat well in suji-bread crumb mix. Insert ice-cream stick  and deep fry.















11. Serve in party or pack in kids school lunch box.
