4-5 potatoes
2 finely chopped onions
1/4 cup grated or mashed paneer (cottage cheese)
1 large grated tomato or pureed
1 tsp tomato sauce
salt and chili to taste
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp coriander masala
1 tsp chaat masala
1 tsp kasuri meethi
1 tsp turmeric powder
1/4 cup water

Wash and peel potatoes. Cut the upper layer (don't throw chop it finely) and core it from inside with the help of peeler. (as shown in pic below)
Heat oil and deep fry them and keep aside on absorbent paper.

Finely chop inside leftover core and upper layer of potato.

For Filling:
In a pan, heat oil add finely chopped onion and cook till transparent now add chopped potatoes and cook till soft and done. Add salt, turmeric powder, garam masala, coriander powder, chili and mix well. Turn off the flame, take out the masala in some pan or plate. Now add grated paneer, mix well and keep aside.

Take fried potatoes and fill this filling inside the core potatoes

For Masala:
Heat oil in pressure cooker, add 1 chopped onion and cook till transparent. Add salt, turmeric, chaat masala, coriander masala, garam masala, kasuri meethi, chili and turmeric powder. Mix them well and add tomato puree and tomato sauce. Let it cook till the sides of pan leaves oil.
Add stuffed potatoes mix well add 1/4 cup water and keep on high flame till it whistle once.

Serve hot!




1. Cut the upper layer of potato and core it from inside with the help of peeler.

2. Deep fry on high flame.

3. Take on absorbent paper and keep aside.

Let's prepare filling now:

1. In a pan heat oil, add bay leaf (tez pata) saute onion till transparent.

2. Add dry spices like garam masala, corinader masala, salt, turmeric powder, chili and salt.

3. Add chopped potato. Cook till done.

4. Take out in a plate or bowl (remove bay leaf) add grated paneer. Add this filling in the potaotes

For Masala:

1. Heat some oil in pressure cooker, saute onions.

2. Add salt, chili, powder, garam masala, coriander powder, chaat masala and turmeric powder. Add tomato puree and tomato sauce.

3. Cook till it oil leaves sides of pan.

4. Mix potato well.

5. Add just 1/4 of water to avoid burning. Whistle it once and serve.

6. Garnish with coriander and serve!
