INGREDIENTS
1 cup Tuar / Arhar dal
1/4 tsp mustard seeds
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped tomatoes
2 tbsp tomato sauce
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp sambhar masala
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
salt to taste
few leaves of curry patta
METHOD
Boil daal and keep aside. For masala, heat oil in pan, add mustard seeds let it splutter.
Now add curry leaves and chopped onions saute till golden in color. Add ginger-garlic paste. Add all dried spices and mix well.
Add chopped tomato and tomato sauce. Mix well. Cover with lid and cook till tomatoes become soft and dissolve in it.
Cook till it leaves sides of the pan.
Transfer this in boiled daal and simmer it for 3-4 minutes and serve with bread dosa or instant dosa.

2. Put ghee in oil, add mustard seeds and let it splutter.

4. Add ginger garlic paste and all dry masalas. Cook for 1-2 minute. Mix well.
5. Add chopped tomato and tomato sauce. Cover and cook till its soft and dissolves.
