INGREDIENTS
1 cup whole wheat flour (Atta)
½ Refined flour (Maida)
1 ½ cup powdered sugar
½ cup cocoa powder
1 cup fermented milk (put 1 t/2 tsp vinegar in milk)
1 ½ tsp baking soda
¾ cup butter
2 eggs
For Icing
1/2 cup softened butter
1 cup cream
½ cup cocoa powder
1 cup powdered sugar
For Decoration:
9-10 wafer sticks
1/4 cup choco chips
chopped fruit of your choice (optional)
METHOD
Sieve together flour, baking soda and cocoa powder. Keep aside.
In a bowl, beat together eggs, butter and sugar till sugar dissolves.
Add butter-sugar mixture in flour. Fold with light hands.
Add milk and mix well.
Batter should be of dropping consistency.
Grease mould with butter. Transfer the batter in mould and bake it in pre-heated oven at 180°C for 30-35 minutes.
Let cake come down to room temperature.
For Icing:
Mix all the ingredients of icing. Put it on cake once it become cold.
Sprinkle choco chips all over and strawberry slices. Decorate with wafers on sides.
